The robotic pipetting device which allows automated pooling of the individual samples

In September, Dr. Daniel Holmes, Head of PHC Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, spearheaded the pooled sample testing program at St. Paul’s laboratory, along with team members including Dr. Marc Romney, Dr. Chris Lowe, Dr. Nancy Matic, Dr. Gordon Ritchie, Grace van der Gugten and Mahdi Mobini.

The program, involving robtics and data automation, helps increase COVID-19 testing capacity and preserve supplies.
