2017 CSCC Research Excellence Award

May 1, 2017

Congratulations to Dr. Dan Holmes who was recently chosen to receive the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists (CSCC) Research Excellence Award for 2017.

This award is to recognize contributions made throughout his career to advance research in clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine. Dr. Holmes have co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers on a wide range of topics often depicting the application of sophisticated chromatography and mass spectroscopy methods to complex patients with endocrinopathies, providing a bridge between laboratory medicine and clinical practice. Recently he demonstrated how to apply computer programs in R or Python to help solve challenges with method evaluation and method comparison that can be applied to “Big Data” ultimately with applications for patient care.
