Mount Saint Joseph Hospital Laboratory

The clinical laboratory at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital is staffed 24 hours per day and serves patients at MSJ and PHC residential sites. The laboratory is staffed by highly skilled, dedicated medical laboratory assistants (MLAs) and medical laboratory technologists (MLTs), with medical and operational oversight from laboratory leaders located at St. Paul's. The outpatient laboratory offers blood collection and specimen drop-off services. Testing performed on-site at MSJ includes general chemistry and hematology as well as dispensing of blood products. Microbiology, Anatomic Pathology and any other testing not performed at MSJ is transferred to the laboratory at St. Paul's Hospital. This allows PHC laboratories to collectively offer a complete test menu to patients at all PHC sites.
