Brain Canada award will support Alzheimer’s study

St. Paul’s Hospital clinical chemist and HLI Early Career Investigator Dr. Mari DeMarco and her research team won a $684,000 grant through the Improving Health Outcomes and Quality of Life Team Grant competition, funded through the Canada Brain Research Fund with the financial support of Health Canada and institutional sponsors. Dr. DeMarco and her group were one of six teams across Canada funded in the competition. They will use their grant to investigate the impact of Alzheimer's disease diagnostics in Canada.
