To date, I have enjoyed a very exciting and fulfilling career that began in 1988 in the BCIT Medical Laboratory Sciences program. I initially focused on microbiology as a technologist, teaching technologists and LIS analyst. In 1994 I returned to school to complete my Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLSc) degree from UBC. Since then I have held a series of leadership positions including Laboratory Operations Manager.
After obtaining a Masters Certificate in Project Management and achieving the Project Management Professional designation, I spent several years managing projects in chemistry, hematology and molecular diagnostics. My most recent experience includes technology planning, laboratory design and the integration of operations for two large community laboratories.
I am very excited to be part of Lower Mainland Laboratories located at Providence Health Care, supporting both St. Paul’s and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital laboratories. I am passionate about team building, leadership development and innovation in laboratory science.
